NOTE: When I was emailed with the idea of including a prayer post, I thought it was a great idea! The hope for this prayer and others like it that you might find on this website and receive through subscribing to the email list, is that it will provide the Christian Prepper with a prayer that would start their week or even start every morning or prayer time. Feel free to include your own prayer in the comments if you feel led to. Also, please feel free to forward this link or email to your praying friends!
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you with prayerful and astonished hearts as we seek you as a refuge and a stronghold at this time of need. We thank You for the Word and read in it that all things work together for good to those who love You and who earnestly seek You. We desire relationship with You Lord and ask for Your counsel and right discernment as we walk out our faith in these tumultuous times.
Lord, events of evil intent are coming upon us so fast and so overwhelming it’s hard to get a handle on one thing and then another and another happen and overwhelm us some more. Lord, Your Word told us these things would happen; You told us ahead of time so we would be better prepared. And yet, Lord some things we have never experienced before and they are unsettling and disturbing and we Your children run to You for protection, guidance and strength.
Father, please give us respite from these troubles. Help us to stay centered in Your love and firmly rooted in the faith. Please send us true revival as too many of our family members, friends and co-workers are among the lost. Our nation is adrift and falling for the enemy’s lies. We pray for our leaders and for the truth to overcome the lies and for the light to shine even stronger into the darkest corners so that we can see what’s right and what isn’t right.
Lord we know that when we seek You first, all these things will be added unto us; our faith is stronger, our health and mental outlook improves, our daily needs are met.
Father, we thank you for these many blessings and pray for them in the precious name of Jesus,
