Prayer: Week of June 15, 2015

NOTE: When I was emailed with the idea of including a prayer post, I thought it was a great idea! The hope for this prayer and others like it that you might find on this website and receive through subscribing to the email list, is that it will provide the Christian Prepper with a prayer that would start their week or even start every morning or prayer time. Feel free to include your own prayer in the comments if you feel led to. Also, please feel free to forward this link or email to your praying friends!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We know you are the One True God because the Bible tells us about things before they happen. In Isaiah 46:10 You tell us You have “declared the end from the beginning”, and then show us what will happen before it does. Only an Omnipotent Being who lives outside of time can see all of human history all at once. This is how You knew us before we were born (Jeremiah 1:5) and how You know our individual fate and one of the ways we know You are God.

Your Word also gives us wisdom to discern a false prophet. If someone comes in Your name and predicts a thing to happen and it doesn’t happen – then the prophet is a false one. Lord, Your Word is Truth. It is a light on the dark path so we won’t head in the wrong direction.

Father we praise you and thank you for how well You look after us. The parable of the 100 sheep and the one that goes astray is especially comforting; if one of Your sheep wanders off, You promise to leave the others and come looking for it (Matthew 18:12). Heavenly Father, as Your Word predicted, there will come a time the world will be filled with so much evil, many will fall away from the faith. Forgive us Lord if we stray and convict us in our hearts we must be careful not to willfully wander away from You. Please keep reminding us we cannot continually act as if we are not Your children and expect to be found.

Lord, teach us to be “…shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves” (Matthew 10:16) as we walk before You during these End Times. Keep us faithful to You and faithful to each other in Your remnant. Help each of us be a brighter light in these darkening days and reflect the love of Jesus to all.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen
