I feel very unpatriotic writing this, almost like I’m a traitor! But recent events have led me to believe that America is doomed! Not because of the current government or an economic collapse, pandemic or some war over oil! America is doomed because God will judge the USA because we turned from following Him and ultimately turned on Israel.
I wrote about my trip down prophecy lane in, It Shook Me to My Core, Why I’m Rethinking Everything! If you haven’t read that post, you should take a minute to check it out. It will provide a little background on why I believe America is doomed and we are nearing the end.
As a result of that article, I’ve been doing a lot of research and catching up on understanding prophecy. There are many out there who believe America is doomed too! In my “link chasing,” I came up on a prophecy/vision by a guy named A.A. Allen. A. A. Allen had a vision on top of the Empire State building in 1954. If you believe that Christians can still have visions, then you might consider this one a very scary one!
- To read the vision with commentary from another blogger – click here (scroll down)
- To read the vision without commentary and an essay on A.A. Allen’s character, by someone who ministered with him – click here.
The reason for the essay on A.A. Allen’s character above is that many believe that he was an alcoholic and a fraud. The Wikipedia article on him doesn’t make him look good at all!
It isn’t too far a stretch to believe that people out there would want to make God’s people look bad! But even if he was an alcoholic, could God use him? Could the vision that he had on The Empire State building be real or did it happen when he was in La La Land after a night of “drinking the new wine,” if you know what I mean? I don’t know! But I know that he wouldn’t be the first man of God to have his reputation smeared!
Jesus said that the world would hate us! In John 17:4, he prayed to the Father, “I have given them Your word. The world hated them because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.”
Another “kook” that gets a bad rap is Aimee Simple McPherson. She is the founder of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. There is a lot of weirdness that surrounded her life that you can look up. But you can’t say that God didn’t use her. At one point, the American Medical Association secretly investigated reported healings from her ministry and found them to be, “genuine, beneficial and wonderful.” According to biographer, Daniel Epstein and quoted from Wikipedia, “The healings present a monstrous obstacle to scientific historiography. If events transpired as newspapers, letters, and testimonials say they did, then Aimee Semple McPherson’s healing ministry was miraculous…. The documentation is overwhelming: very sick people came to Sister Aimee by the tens of thousands, blind, deaf, paralyzed. Many were healed some temporarily, some forever. She would point to heaven, to Christ the Great Healer and take no credit for the results.
A pastor friend of mine, who has his church under the Foursquare church, told me that he once stayed in the missionary quarters of Angelus Temple. After sitting in his room for a while, he started to get brave and explore parts of the church that should have been “off-limits.” At one point he found himself in an old storage room filled with old crutches, wheelchairs and all sorts of medical devices that healed believers left behind.
Was Aiimee Simple McPherson a kook or was she legit? I guess you have to check the fruit! But if she was a kook, she was in good company! Many of God’s prophet’s were considered kooks in their time too!
Kooks in the Old Testament
Let’s just look at three really big kooks, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Ezekiel. Oh yeah, those guys!
In Jeremiah 19, God tells Jeremiah to purchase a clay jar and take some of the elders and leading priests out of the city to the Valley of Hinnom. He proclaims God’s destruction on “this place.”
Proclaim there the words I speak to you. 3 Say: Hear the word of the Lord, kings of Judah and residents of Jerusalem. This is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: I am going to bring such disaster on this place that everyone who hears about it will shudder 4 because they have abandoned Me and made this a foreign place. They have burned incense in it to other gods that they, their fathers, and the kings of Judah have never known. They have filled this place with the blood of the innocent. 5 They have built high places to Baal on which to burn their children in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, something I have never commanded or mentioned; I never entertained the thought.
6 “Therefore, take note! The days are coming”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“when this place will no longer be called Topheth and the Valley of Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter. 7 I will spoil the plans of Judah and Jerusalem in this place. I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies, by the hand of those who want to take their life. I will provide their corpses as food for the birds of the sky and for the wild animals of the land. 8 I will make this city desolate, an object of scorn. Everyone who passes by it will be horrified and scoff because of all its wounds. 9 I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and their daughters, and they will eat each other’s flesh in the siege and distress that their enemies, those who want to take their life, inflict on them.
10 “Then you are to shatter the jar in the presence of the people traveling with you, 11 and you are to proclaim to them: This is what the Lord of Hosts says: I will shatter these people and this city, like one shatters a potter’s jar that can never again be mended. They will bury the dead in Topheth because there is no other place for burials. 12 I will do so to this place”—this is the declaration of the Lord—“and to its residents, making this city like Topheth. 13 The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah will become impure like that place Topheth—all the houses on whose rooftops they have burned incense to the whole heavenly host and poured out drink offerings to other gods.”
14 Jeremiah came back from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy, stood in the courtyard of the Lord’s temple, and proclaimed to all the people, 15 “This is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘I am about to bring on this city—and on all its dependent villages—all the disaster that I spoke against it, for they have become obstinate, not obeying My words.’”
What does Jeremiah get for proclaiming the Word of the Lord? He gets beaten and put in stocks! Jeremiah 20:1-2 says that “Pashhur the priest, the son of Immer and chief official in the temple of the Lord, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things. 2 So Pashhur had Jeremiah the prophet beaten and put him in the stocks at the Upper Benjamin Gate in the Lord’s temple.” Yeah, that’s what happens to kooks!
Ok, and what about Isaiah. He was supposedly a kingly prophet. In Isaiah 8:1-4, the Lord tells Isaiah to “Take a large piece of parchment and write on it with an ordinary pen: Maher-shalal-hash-baz. 2 I have appointed trustworthy witnesses—Uriah the priest and Zechariah son of Jeberechiah.” 3 I was then intimate with the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. The Lord said to me, “Name him Maher-shalal-hash-baz, 4 for before the boy knows how to call out father or mother, the wealth of Damascus and the spoils of Samaria will be carried off to the king of Assyria.”
Really? Who names their kid that? Of course, only because God said so! Don’t forget about all the death and destruction that Isaiah prophesies about! I mean this guy didn’t miss anyone! What a kook!
But, let’s save the best for last! God told Ezekiel to do a bunch of “kookey” stuff! Like, he was to shut himself in his house and he was going to be bound up. His tongue was going to “stick to the roof” of his mouth so he couldn’t speak until God gave him the words. He also draws Jerusalem on a brick and builds a mock siege, complete with ramp, camps and battering rams. God then tells him to lie down for 390 days!!!! Then God tells him to do it again, on his right side for another 40 days!!!! What the heck God? What kind of kooks are you employing here? There’s more, but hopefully you’ll go and read it for yourself.
Back to America!
So what if America is doomed? What if America is the daughter of Babylon as described in Revelations 17 and 18? What if people like John Price is right and America will be destroyed? Or what if A.A. Allen was right? Or what if Watchman Bob is right? There are many more out there too! If America is doomed, why aren’t Christians all over America responding?
On John Price’s forum, someone asked, “I am typing this from Escazu, Costa Rica on my “scouting mission” to exit the US. John makes a compelling case interpreting scripture. My wife’s question is “I have all kinds of Christian friends with ministries, blessings from the Lord, and living in the US. None of them are talking about leaving the US. Why are we?”
The response by dpearchy91 is interesting…
What about the many other Christians who are not hearing or seeing this word about America being Babylon and the need to flee? We have certainly had the same experience. In desiring to be obedient and warn others, we have had opportunity as God has led to share with other committed believers we feel may have some discernment in this. What we have found is that some may see the coming fall of this country, even with prophetic understanding of impending judgment, but they seem immobile, tied to home and family concerns. Many have never travelled outside of the country and have no desire to, having lived their life entrenched in America. This is as the vast majority of the Jews who did not leave even as concerns about Hitler rose ahead of the Holocaust and perished, with a very few escaping as it was upon them. We must also understand that the Christian church in America is in a colossal deception and end times apostasy that has blinded the eyes of nearly all who are a part of it, as it has left sound doctrine and embraced a social gospel, tolerance and ecumenicalism, leadership by the Catholic Church and others not instituted by God, and a generally weak and powerless (if not completely false) form of Christianity. These believers generally do not read deeply and extensively the Word of God with the Holy Spirit’s help to understand, rather than with the many “helps” provided by a menagerie of Bible authorities, gurus, study Bible notes, and spiritual books, courses, and fads. The believers we have talked to do not show interest in examining the clear Scriptures relating to an end times Babylon to determine who it might be. In other words, they look away, or reason it away. The potential cost and what it might mean is too great. So, we cannot go by the Christian church and its lack of response to this very startling prophecy requiring great obedience on our part. It has always been the same for a people facing destruction (see the response to Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Noah). Nevertheless the truth of God’s Word remains.
After discussing the idea of fleeing America and that America is doomed, I find that many people are not able to come to terms with the end of America. They will either say something like, “I learned that the Daughter of Babylon is…,” fill in Rome, The New World Order or a government system. There are many other people/places that are used as well. They will also say, “there are many Christians in America. Why would God destroy it?” Or….and this one is the most used…”God will rapture the church before then!”
What if God is warning us to leave?
Some prophecy scholars believe that Christians will go through the tribulation. They say, “if God didn’t spare His people before, why would He do it now?” But He did spare them before. He ALWAYS gave warnings about what was to happen. Some listened, but many didn’t!
One example is found in Jeremiah 21:8-10, God told Jeremiah to give the people a warning about staying in Jerusalem. ” 8 “But you must say to this people, ‘This is what the Lord says: Look, I am presenting to you the way of life and the way of death. 9 Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine, and plague, but whoever goes out and surrenders to the Chaldeans who are besieging you will live and will retain his life like the spoils of war. 10 For I have turned against this city to bring disaster and not good’”—this is the Lord’s declaration. “‘It will be handed over to the king of Babylon, who will burn it down.’”
Well that kook traitor! I can’t believe a prophet of the Most High God would prophesy against God’s Chosen People! Why would he prophesy against God’s Holy City? He had to be a false prophet! Right? Wrong! 18 chapters later, Jerusalem falls!
If God would do that to Jerusalem, why wouldn’t He do it to America? Are we any more special than Israel?
Are we to flee? Is America Babylon? These are questions that I’m praying about and dealing with. One thing for certain, I have an urgency to stay in the “things of God.” You might find that God is calling you to a deeper relationship too.
We always talk about normalcy bias in the preparedness community! What if the warning to leave America is another form of normalcy bias that won’t allow us to believe that this could happen to America?
The tipping point for many will be one of the excuses that I wrote about above. Many Christians believe that they will be raptured up before any tribulation. What if your Bible prophecy bias is getting in the way of what the Scriptures really say? Can you look at the evidence with new eyes? What are the implications if you can’t and you’re wrong?
Lastly, I have heard from many Christian Preppers who have said that they can’t afford to leave America. If this view of Bible Prophecy is correct, then God will need people here to minister to those who are lost and without hope. He might be calling me to that…He might be calling you to that! Don’t let your prepper normalcy bais get in the way of ministry.

Two Last Kooks…for the Road….
I will leave you with these two videos. What do you think? Are these guys kooks? Or can you identify with what they are saying?
